The Friday Face-Off: Time

Friday Face Off New
Welcome to The Friday Face-Off, a weekly meme at Books by Proxy. Join us every Friday as we pit cover against cover, and publisher against publisher, to find the best artwork in our literary universe. You can find a list of upcoming topics at Lynn's Books.

This week's topic is:
Time – time waits for no one

I had a fun time with the topic this week! I wasn't sure at first if I should for a book about time travel or a book with 'time' in the title, but then I remembered the Wheel of Time series and figured what's more fitting than this classic piece of fantasy that's all about time?

"The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow."

My choice(s):
The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time, #1)El ojo del mundo (La rueda del tiempo, #1)Pasaules acs
Okay, so I chose to select these three for different reasons. The first original US because it's the classic cover I first read and I love the classic epic fantasy vibes I get from it (though I also love the German one for the colors!). I picked the 2019 Spanish cover from a general fantasy standpoint--I think it makes for an awesome cover, though I'm not sure it fits this book as much. And lastly, I picked the Latvian edition because I just find the art really beautiful! I get more The Name of the Wind vibes from it than Wheel of Time, but I still think it's some beautiful artwork.

What cover(s) do you like the most!?
