Top Ten Tuesday: New-To-Me (But No One Else) Authors I Finally Got Around to Reading

Top Ten Tuesday is weekly book blog meme hosted by the lovely girls over at The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's Top Ten Tuesday theme is: "Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2017"
I decided to focus on authors that I read for the first time last year that are generally pretty popular and well-known, but that I just hadn't ever gotten around to reading. Most of these authors are ones that I've been hearing about for years, but never had the opportunity to pick up until now. I'm excited to read more from them! 5. I read The Road a long time ago and can't really remember it now, but sounds like it's worth trying to dig up and re-read!

  6. You need to have some amount of guts to make it through The Road, as you now know I'm sure. I remember writing a literature essay on it in my honours year, which was a pretty harrowing experience. McCarthy sure knows how to turn a phrase though. I'm yet to attempt Blood Meridian, but will eventually. Just wanted to wish you luck for that in particular. Nice list.
