Welcome to The Friday Face-Off, a weekly meme at Books by Proxy. Join us every Friday as we pit cover against cover, and publisher against publisher, to find the best artwork in our literary universe. You can find a list of upcoming topics at Lynn's Books.
This week's topic is:
Books with 'moon' in the title
Books with 'moon' in the title
I have tried and failed to read Gardens of the Moon three times. Yes, that's right, three. I am no long ashamed of not being able to get through this book because I have accepted that I don't think it will ever work for me. But... I think there's a small part of me that thinks one day I'll actually get through (it's the part of me that also thinks she'll stay super organized at the start of each semester... I often laugh at her). So anyway, I thought it'd be funny and cruel to choose Gardens of the Moon for this week's moon in the title topic, even though there were so many other (probably better) options!
2005 US Mass Market Paperback | 2004 US Tor Hardcover | 2004 Bulgarian
2004 Italian | 2017 Spanish | 2000 Polish
2012 German | 2018 French | 2014 Russian
2000 Dutch | 2004 Spanish | 2008 Romanian
My choice(s):
I really love the ominous note of the 2005 Mass Market with the dramatic building, and I am also a huge fan of the stunning artwork from the French edition!
What cover(s) do you like the most!?
I kind of like the 2017 Spanish edition!
ReplyDeleteWell at least it has some nice covers! I immediately gravitated toward the French edition, I love the artwork😁
