A Recent Read
This week's topic is a recent read that has multiple cover options, and since my most recent reads don't have that many cover options, I went back until I hit one that did–The Lost City of Z by Douglas Preston! This was a fascinating about the exploration of the Mosquitia region in Honduras to uncover whether or not the remains of a past civilization still remain. I love any sort of book like this because it not only combines my interest in exploration and archaeology, but also provides a lot of fascinating information about the region itself, including its history, culture, background, wildlife, and the problems facing it today. Definitely a recommended read! Now, let's check out these covers.
2017 US Hardcover | 2017 US Paperback | 2018 Polish
2017 Spanish | 2017 German | 2017 Dutch
2018 French | 2017 Bulgarian | 2019 Greek
2019 Chinese | 2018 Korean | 2018 Hungarian
2017 Italian | 2020 French | 2019 Portuguese
My choice(s):
I like a lot of these covers, but I think the US paperback (the edition I read) is really beautiful and simple, capturing both the environment and the essence of it being a very secluded area. I also absolutely love the design of this Chinese edition!
What cover(s) do you like the most?
The Bulgarian edition made me do a double take!
ReplyDeleteWow, there are a lot of covers! I also like the US paperback, and I think the Hungarian edition is interesting too.
