Top Five/Ten Tuesday: Anticipated 2021 Reads

You can find Top Ten Tuesday at The Artsy Reader Girl and Top 5 Tuesday at MeeghanReads!

Since I didn't participate in Top Ten Tuesday last week, which featured the topic of top 2021 anticipated releases, and this week's Top 5 Tuesday topic is top 2021 anticipated releases, I figured I'd just make up for last week and combine them for this week! Let's be honest, there are a lot of books coming out in 2021 that I'm extremely excited for, so I decided to filter this list down to books that I've been anxiously awaiting or am especially excited for because it's part of a series or from an author that I already know I love and I know that I'll read it no matter hat. And since I came up with seven options, I figured that was a good middle number to end up with for coming Top 5 & Top Ten lists. Some of these selections also don't have covers yet, but I can't wait to see them. Without further ado, let's dive in!

1. Sidewinders by Robert V.S. Redick
Current publication date: May 4th, 2021
Master Assassins was one of my favorite books that I read in 2017 when it came out, and it has remained an all-time favorite for me. I am so ecstatic that this sequel is finally coming out! I have been very patiently waiting because I know that whenever it comes I'll be satisfied, but I'm still excited that we are finally getting close. I definitely plan to re-read Master Assassins before Sidewinders releases, and I highly recommend it all to you.

2.  The Fall of Babel by Josiah Bancroft
Current publication date: November 11th, 2021
This series has been such an imaginative rollercoaster and I am both thrilled and a little sad that the finale is almost here!

3. The Quicksilver Court by Melissa Caruso
Current publication date:
I wasn't even sure if this sequel was coming out this year, but so far it looks like it is and I could not be more excited. I loved Caruso's Sword and Fire trilogy, and so far I am now loving the Rook and Ruin series, so this is pretty much a must-read for me.

4. The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri
Current publication date: June 10th, 2021
I have really enjoyed Tashe Suri's two previous releases, Empire of Sand and Realm of Ash, so I'm extra curious and excited to check out this new fantasy from her! I loved the previous world she created, but I'm looking forward to seeing something new and I can't wait to check it out! Also, that cover is so striking to me.
The Jasmine Throne (Burning Kingdoms, #1)

5. Jade Legacy by Fonda Lee
Current publication date: September 21st, 2021
At this point, is there anyone who isn't excited for this conclusion!? It feels like ages ago that I first read Jade City, but my passion and interest in this book hasn't waned in the slightest, and I almost think I may embark upon a re-read of the first two books before the third comes out.
Jade Legacy (The Green Bone Saga, #3)

6. Near the Bone by Christina Henry
Current publication date: April 13th, 2021
Christina Henry is pretty much always an auto-read from me, so seeing that she has yet another new release coming out this year has me thrilled. I am immensely captivated by this cover and can't wait to have a chance to read this. It seems like a new adult horror of some sort, and I have really loved how Henry writes horror and dread in the past, so I have pretty high hopes.

7. First, Become Ashes by K.M. Szpara
Current publication date: April 6th, 2021
This is the most recent addition to my auto-read and I suppose that could wane, but because of how much I enjoyed Docile and Szpara's writing, I am exceptionally excited and intrigued to see what he's going to write next. I really am not sure what to expect from First, Become Ashes, but I can't wait to find out.
