Top Ten Tuesday: Single Word Titles

This week's topic is: Books With Single Word Titles

I didn't realize that I would find as many single-word titles as I did, which made it difficult for me to decide which lucky ones would be featured! I ended up just picking some random ones (though all ones that I thoroughly enjoyed!) and I also included fifteen, because, well, why not? I feel like books that have only a single word as the title have a sort of underlying boldness about them because of the sense that only a single word is needed to embody the entire journey that is about to be embarked upon in each book--which also led me to decide not to include any sort of synopsis about these books and instead let their title (and covers!) speak for themselves.

  1. I like the way the covers and titles work together to tell you what the book is about, especially in the case of Dreamland and Alice!

  2. Great list! I really want to cross Nottingham off my TBR - it sounds so interesting.

  3. I was also surprised by how many one word titles are out there! I completely forgot about Radiance, good call😁

  4. I'd completely forgotten about Fingersmith.

  5. Fingersmith was on my list, too! I love Sarah Waters' stories.

  6. I kind of wanted to show more than ten too haha! there are so many! Nightbooks is awesome- love that cover- and Nottingham looks good too.
