Well, I guess we can check yet another month off our calendars. Summer is slowly starting to wrap up, but I really wish the weather followed that as well because these hot temperatures will last at least through October, I'm sure. But regardless of the weather, let's talk about books!
I had a much more productive reading month than I figured I would. I read a lot of really fantastic books in July, and I'm hoping August has much of the same in store. In addition to my regular reading during July, I was also doing a read-a-long, beta reading, and working my way through Jerusalem by Alan Moore. On a positive note--I finished Jerusalem! I had initially planned to read this 1200+ page tome through August as well, but I got overwhelmed with reading so many different books that I just wanted to finish it sooner, so I shortened it from three months to two months. I don't know if I'll get around to a review for it, but I do definitely want to discuss it in some way because it was one crazy book, but overall I actually found it pretty enjoyable. I'm still working on the Kushiel's Dart read-a-long and beta reading, but I am enjoying both of those as well.
I hope everyone else's July was good to them--let me know what you read or what you plan to read!
As I've mentioned before, I'm also a Book Depository Affiliate and an Amazon affiliate! If you'd like to know more about that, I included some info about in this post. And if you'd like to purchase a book through my affiliate link, just follow this link for Book Depository or click on the Amazon banner on the right hand side of this page! It is so, so appreciated in ways you cannot imagine (okay maybe you can, but you get my meaning)!
