Well, it appears that my reading slump has disappeared! I've mainly been in such a mindset of being 'behind' on books I want to read that I just keep picking them up without thinking too much and somehow that's really been working for me. I only read one book that I rated three stars and I'm pretty sure the rest were four or five star reads... I'm not sure if that means I'm too easy to please of if I just read some genuinely good books this month (I'm pretty sure it's the latter)! Some book highlights that I read would be: Nevermoor, an extremely delightful YA fantasy and one of the best I've read in a while; The Defiant Heir by Melissa Caruso, a stunning sequel to a highly underrated trilogy; Fray, another sequel to an extremely underrated political fantasy trilogy; and Endurance, which I've already talked about a lot, but which is really an incredible survival story.
April was both really long and really shot, and I'm honestly having a hard time remembering what I did this past month. My husband and I finished planning a vacation that we'll be taking in late June and I'm definitely looking forward for that, though I do have some weird anxiety about it also since, well, I have anxiety, and I also haven't been on an actual vacation since about 2012. It's been a few years, but it's long overdue.
Anyway, how was your reading month? Did you read any great books? Have you read any of the books I read?
